Is Biden falling in a Sunk Cost Trap in Ukraine?

This post was orginally made in December, 2023. At the time, political wrangling in Congress with a Republican-majority house was seeking to keep the purse strings drawn tight to the Biden administration's request for more aid to Ukraine. Since the original post date to now, the situation in Ukraine has started to look more like the Grand Est region in France with minimal gains on both sides. While the the EU has since stepped up its committment to Ukraine's defense and a new Trump administration seemingly wary to provide large amounts of aid to the country, it now falls on President Trump to decide if any more bets will be placed in the battlefields of eastern Ukraine.

While growing up in a India, where I was born, I have always been interested in understanding what India means to the world or why India has a long lasting relationship with Russia, the then USSR. Reading Social studies, has always make us learn that long lasting friendship between India and Russia (USSR). Globalization and turning USSR to Russia and its fragmentation, has caused long drawn changes in relationships between countries. Where on one hand the world was striving to advance in many areas depending on their developmental differences and richness of resources with the exchange of resources, leaders have a big role in diverting such changes. Political and thus economical and other things affected by those relations.
Since I have been watching and reading about Russia, Putin and the world, this is one of the best of blogs that I have ever read!! Gives so many insights by an American perspective. It is the country you live and understand too. I have my own perspectives. Had also collected some information back then (2014) to help my daughter to expand on the Gandhian perspective, to end the Ukraine war. I have that write up of project that she had ultimately finalized along with the views I had summed up to add on her views too, while she finalized it.
