About
Professional Biography
With a law enforcement career spanning nearly twenty-nine years, I have made my life’s work by helping those who have been victimized by crime find justice while making communities safer by using innovative strategies and in-depth approaches. Currently a Master Patrolman at the Clemson University Police Department, I have spent much of my career in investigations both in municipal and institutional settings and have served in many ranks of responsibility from Sergeant up to Interim Chief of Police. Prior to moving to South Carolina, I also shared my expertise in policing and investigations in teaching new police recruits as a certified law enforcement instructor through the North Carolina Department of Justice Training and Standards Commission. In addition, for approximately eight years I was a task force member for the North Carolina Secretary of State’s Division of Trademark Enforcement in investigating the illegal sale and distribution of counterfeit merchandise and intellectual property theft. In 2020, I earned my bachelor’s degree in criminal justice at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke, and I am now a recent graduate of the University of Arizona’s International Security Studies Master of Arts program. Currently, I am seeking a career transition to a higher level of public service by helping to continue to lead the United States in the 21st century as a global leader of democracy and peace by forming meaningful partnerships and collaborations with other like-minded actors across the globe through my continual understanding of U.S. foreign and domestic policy.
